India’s Government-Run Relief Camps For Migrant Workers .

The state has 15,541 of the 22,567 goverment-run relief camps for migrant workers in the country , according to a report field by the home ministry with the supreme court . That’s 69% of all the relief camps and shelters run by state governments across india .

Kerala is running the highest number of relief camps for migrant workers left standed by the 21days nationwide lockdown for curbing spread of the coronavirus pandemic .

Uttar pradesh is a distant second with 2,230 goverment-run camps while Maharashtra rank third with 1,135 .


The report also said that in 578 districts of the country , 22,567 relief camps run by goverment and 3,909 by several NGOs and in them , over one crore needy citizen have taken shelter and are getting food also . The report also said that over 17,000 food camps are operational in the country and people get food there .
